Boscombe Holiday ApartmentThis spacious ground floor apartment is accessed directly from the car park at the rear of Burlington Mansions apartments, formerly the Burlington Hotel, which opened in 1893 and was one of Bournemouth's foremost hotels in its heyday. This recently converted apartment is less than 500m from the newly renovated Boscombe Pier and promenade with its open air seafront cafes and restaurants, the artificial surf reef and seven miles of golden sandy beaches. Boscombe's local shops, restaurants and a variety of takeaways are also just a short stroll from the apartment. The self catering apartment, awarded four stars in 2010 by VisitBritain, has been fitted to a very high standard and consists of a large open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area, a large master bedroom with en suite bathroom, a twin bedroom and a further luxury family bathroom. The apartment provides sleeping accommodation in two bedrooms for four people, although additional comfortable folding beds can be provided for larger parties on request. A cot and high chair are also available. The kitchen is very well equipped with oven and hob, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher and microwave as well as the wide variety of cooking equipment you would expect to find in your own kitchen and enough crockery, cutlery and glasses for eight people. There is a small dining table which can seat up to six people and a breakfast bar with four bar stools, which makes cooking a much more sociable experience. The comfortable lounge area has a 32" LCD TV with Freeview, a DVD player and a Playstation 2 console. We also have an ever growing supply of DVDs to suit most ages and tastes as well as a selection of PS2 games. A wall mounted flame-effect electric fire provides an additional boost of heat on cooler evenings as well as providing a cosy focal point for the lounge area. There is also an ipod docking station and speakers. The master bedroom has a very large super king size bed (6' wide) and there are two full size single beds in the twin bedroom. There is ample clothes storage in both bedrooms and a desk in the master bedroom provides a bright quiet space for anyone who needs a place to work. There are TVs and DVD players in both bedrooms and a toy box in the twin bedroom holds a range of games for both children and adults. Both luxury bathrooms have showers over double ended baths and endless supplies of hot water for rinsing the remains of the beach off you at the end of a hard day's surfing or sand castle building. There is also a variety of beach toys and body boards, folding deck chairs, a beach umbrella and cool bag with cool blocks in the freezer for the use of guests as well as a growing library of books. Duvets, bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided and central heating and power is included. Beach towels can also be provided upon request. Summary of accommodation:
